Not Tiny Anymore

Emily will be a full-fledged soccer girl next season. It is amazing that as delicate as she looks she is absolutely fierce as a competitor.

Ding, Ding, Ding-a-Ling

Carly is ready for the season with all of her decorations. This year she actually used a ladder instead of the tables piled on top of each other. It looks really good and Cooper is jealous--hmm, maybe I will do something (like put up a wreath, sorry Coop). She definately has a jump on the rest of us as far as bling, bling goes. Look fo more pictures of her house in My Pictures.

Wow

It was an eye-opening experience for Emily as she went to school for the very first time. A staunch believer in getting her own way, Emily had decided that education and socialization were things she could handle on her own. Nevertheless, she was forced into giving it a try. Her first week was wonderful and she now plans to continue on her path of higher education. Her favorite school-time activity is the "park" where she spends much of her time playing with her new friends. Buying special lunch-time treats is also high on her list of favorites. Going to bed on time and getting up do not rate so highly. Her favorite after school activity is rolling her eyes when asked about her day.
Paige, on the other hand, would prefer summer last forever. The shining light in her future is getting to write-up some unfortunate kid who is not behaving properly. This hasn't happened yet, but she is hopeful. She sees no point in being a safety patrol if she can't flaunt her authority a tad. Ironically, she really is thinking about a career in politics. She says someone has to fix this mess!

Paige is a Star

Paige started taking band just a year ago and has come a long, long way. After first getting her flute, she was convinced it was broken because no noise (much less music) would come out of it. Since then, she has played in the Christmas parade, performed in the Christmas concert and the Music City USA competition (Where George Marks walked away with all the honors), performed in the Spring concert and now has played her first solo in the concert following summer band camp. She did a great job playing "Ode to Joy". Paige was thrilled that the concert fell while Joel was on leave from Iraq. Back in the hurricane school hiatus of 2004, Joel had helped her a lot in learning the basics. Finally he got to hear her perform. In the picture above she is with Jeff Leder, the band director. At the awards banquet she won a certificate, a medal and a trophy (most improved.)
